Job summary

ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida seeks a Surgical Coordinator for our Boca Raton office. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, coordinating medical and facial cosmetic procedures and communicating with patients, surgeons, and staff.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of cosmetic/medical surgical scheduling experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with medical terminology and EMR systems. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• One-year cosmetic and medical surgical procedure scheduling experience.
• Clinical experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Answering patient calls and surgery inquiries.
• Patient counseling under the direction of the office manager and surgeon.
• Verification of surgical benefits and obtaining authorizations.
• Scheduling surgical procedures at credentialed centers and hospitals.
• Communicating and updating patients on surgery status.
• Reconciliation of deposits and copays for surgery.
• Ensure medical clearance, pre-op and post op instructions are relayed to patient in a timely manner.
• Obtaining proper consents for appropriate surgical procedures.
• Provide updates to surgeon in a timely manner.
