Job summary

Advanced Ear, Nose, Throat and Allergy in North Atlanta is seeking an on-site Surgery Scheduler to support 4 ENT physicians. Responsibilities include verifying benefits, obtaining authorizations, scheduling surgeries and pre/post-op visits, collecting deposits, and coordinating with facilities and vendors.

The role requires excellent communication, a team-oriented attitude, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple patients and processes in a busy ENT practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in a physician office setting preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, vendors, and staff.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a surgical scheduling environment.
• Familiarity with insurance benefits, authorizations, and billing processes is a plus.
• ENT experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits
• Obtain insurance authorizations
• Schedule procedures, including pre- and post-op appointments
• Collect surgery deposits based on insurance benefits
• Coordinate with facilities where procedures are performed
• Ensure clear communication among surgical assistants, facilities, and office staff for smooth surgeries
• Prepare pre-op facesheets
• Answer and promptly return patient phone calls
• Other duties as assigned
