Job summary

Texas Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists seeks a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate all aspects of surgical procedures for patients. You will work closely with physicians, medical staff, insurance companies and patients to ensure surgeries are scheduled, financial clearance is obtained and communicated to the patient, and the process runs smoothly with comprehensive support throughout.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience verifying patient benefits and obtaining authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document verification of patient benefits, network participation status, out-of-pocket expenses, and exclusions.
• Provide financial counseling including cost estimates and payment terms.
• Coordinate with providers, clinic staff, and CBO to meet financial clearance requirements.
• Schedule surgeries, arrange dates, and perform pre-operative assessments.
• Collaborate with ENT physicians and other providers to ensure smooth patient care.
• Coordinate with hospitals or surgical centers to secure operating room availability and equipment.
