Job summary

Northern VA Community College is seeking a Student Affairs Specialist to provide operational and student service support across the Student Affairs portfolio at the Loudoun - 107 campus. The role handles inquiries, processes routine transactions, and connects students with college resources.

The position focuses on enrollment, financial aid, student records, and related services, with duties in maintaining records and supporting administrative workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience in higher education or student services is preferred.
• Experience using information systems or case management software.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and ability to interpret policies.

Responsibilities

• Responds to student inquiries via email, phone, tickets, and in person; provides accurate information and referrals.
• Processes student records and transactions (enrollment, transcripts, transfer credits, etc.).
• Supports enrollment, financial aid, and other Student Affairs administrative tasks.
• Maintains accurate student information in college systems per policies and confidentiality.
• Supports high-volume processing during peak periods and special projects.
• Coordinates referrals across Student Affairs and other offices; participates in cross-functional training.
