Job summary

Kyocera International, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking an Engineering Technician 3 to support production and quality on a fast-paced shop floor. You will troubleshoot equipment, read CAD schematics, interpret GD&T, and contribute to process improvements across manufacturing lines.

The role requires six years of technician experience, ability to train others, and compliance with ITAR regulations. Strong attention to safety and documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 years of experience as a technician or machine specialist in manufacturing.
• Ability to pass background and drug screen.
• Ability to stand and walk 90% of workday.
• Eligible to work in an ITAR environment.
• Ability to train other hourly employees effectively.
• Ability to use a microscope and variety of calibration tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute process operations according to SOPs, troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues and process disruptions; develop and implement process improvements.
• Contribute to setup and evaluation of current and future production layout.
• Troubleshoot process disturbances, identify resolutions and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Read/interpret CAD drawings, electrical/electronic schematics, tolerances, GD&T, and component values.
• Maintain clean work area and quality documents such as work orders and inventory cards.
