Kyocera International, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician in Plymouth, MI. The role supports production, quality, and engineering teams, improving procedures and facilitating new production systems. Strong troubleshooting and knowledge of manufacturing processes are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using basic measuring equipment such as microscopes, calipers, and micrometers.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, written instructions, and manufacturing documentation in English.
• Basic understanding of statistics and data analysis.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and spreadsheets.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsabilités

• Develop, update, and maintain manufacturing methods and work instructions for finished products.
• Follow processes and build prototype-level products to meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Support startup, operation, improvement, and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve productivity while maintaining quality.
• Perform engineering tests and DOE activities as directed by Engineering.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances, including dispositioning rejected parts.
• Perform setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, programming, and calibration of manufacturing equipment.
• Coordinate onsite equipment repairs and work with contractors as needed.
• Lead small projects and provide training or technical guidance to operators and inspectors.
• Review work of lower-level technicians to ensure processes and quality standards are followed.
