Kyocera International, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the Quality Manager in implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System and to act as a quality representative during regulatory and customer audits.

You will work closely with design, engineering and production teams to ensure high-quality output. The role requires a four-year technical degree and 2+ years in manufacturing, with expertise in quality systems, audits, and statistical tools.

Qualifications

• Four-year technical degree and 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of quality systems and audits.
• Experience with corrective actions and quality improvement.
• Proficient with statistical tools and data analysis.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support Quality Manager in implementing and maintaining QMS.
• Prepare 8D reports for major issues and customer claims.
• Assist with SPC on the manufacturing floor and data analysis.
• Coordinate with design/engineering/production to reduce recurrence of issues.
• Participate in customer and internal audits and reviews.
