Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn is seeking a Supervisor of Engineering in Brooklyn to oversee daily operations, projects, and maintenance staff. You will ensure proper operation of hospital plant equipment and, in the absence of senior management, assume departmental leadership.

Responsibilities include monitoring HVAC, boilers, A/C units, alarms, and related systems; supervising staff; and teaching trades. Qualified candidates should have 5+ years in maintenance and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience with boilers and HVAC systems.
• Q01 Refrigeration Engineer certification required on hire.
• NYCFD Certificates of Fitness G35, F36, S95, G17, S12-S14 required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations and maintenance staff.
• Distribute work orders and verify completion.
• Monitor HVAC systems, boilers, A/C units, and alarms.
• Service fire alarm systems, medical gases, and generators.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
