Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Supervisor, Maintenance to oversee the off-shift Engineering team, managing plant operations, site repairs in patient rooms, and coordinating with Bedboard for room availability.

You will liaison between Engineering and Environmental Services, schedule room repairs, and monitor fire alarm activations and utility issues, ensuring timely completion and accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years experience in facilities management or related field.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities; read and follow technical documents and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees in plant operations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Supervises off-shift or evening renovations and repairs.
• Manage work order distribution and ensure PMs and tasks are completed.
• Coordinate with departments for room availability and completion, including renovations.
• Prioritize room repairs with Engineering, Environmental, Nursing and Bed Board.
• Inspect completed work and coordinate with multiple departments to verify room readiness.
• Support hospital snow removal efforts and coordinate with unions as needed.
• Assist in NFPA 101 Life Safety Code Deficiencies remediation.
