NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk on eastern Long Island is seeking a Supervisor, Maintenance to lead the off‑shift Engineering team, overseeing plant operations, maintenance and repair. The role collaborates with Bedboard to manage room availability and coordinates with Environmental Services for room turnover.

The position requires 5–7 years in construction or facilities management, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; NFPA 101 knowledge is preferred.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years experience in construction, facilities management or related fields.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and follow technical documents, manuals, drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Knowledgeable of NFPA 101 Life Safety Code and related regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint).

Responsabilidades

• Supervises employees in plant operations, maintenance and repairs.
• Oversees off-shift/evening renovations and repairs.
• Manages work order distribution and ensures PMs are completed.
• Coordinates with other departments for room availability and completion.
• Renovation work includes wallpaper, painting, plumbing, HVAC, duct cleaning, and tile work.
• Prioritizes repairs with Engineering Management, Environmental, Nursing and Bed Board.
• Supports snow removal and coordinates union snow removal staff.
• Addresses NFPA 101 Life Safety Code deficiencies.
