Job summary

Actalent seeks an Entry-Level Sales Development Representative in Portland, OR to build trusted relationships with engineering and sciences clients under the Actalent/Aston Carter brands.

You will prospect, qualify, and develop new business with a focus on B2B sales, supported by a 24-week training period and uncapped commissions. Competitive benefits and a base salary of $60,000 plus bonuses and allowances are offered.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in customer service, leadership, and/or sales (including sales internships/clubs)
• Strong desire for a career in B2B/relationship-based sales
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Sense of urgency and professional demeanor

Responsibilities

• Establish a target accounts list for the territory using internal/external resources
• Develop and manage relationships with new and existing customers using CRMs and networking tools
• Conduct face-to-face meetings with decision makers to qualify opportunities and create value
• Increase sales and market share within assigned and new accounts
• Negotiate bill rates and terms to maximize profitability and align with market standards
• Build relationships within accounts by providing quality consultants and marketing candidate resumes
• Lead client meetings and consultant lunches as part of sales activities
• Collaborate with recruiting to identify top science and engineering talent for client needs
