Job summary

Dashiell, a Quanta Services operating unit, seeks an Assistant Engineering Project Manager in Dallas, TX. You will assist the Engineering Department and support the Project Manager to keep projects on schedule and within scope.

The role emphasizes cost scheduling, procurement coordination, and subcontractor management on high‑voltage substations and transmission line projects. You will maintain data, generate reports, and help coordinate meetings to drive timely decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related field; experience may substitute.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project; one year preferred.
• Prior project controls experience; Power Industry preferred.
• Attention to detail to accurately complete orders, research proposals, and reports.
• Strong communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering cost schedules and coordinate procurement for high voltage projects.
• Maintain project data across Smartsheet, trackers, logs, and reporting tools.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports, dashboards, and summaries; ensure data accuracy.
• Coordinate status updates from engineering leads and stakeholders; align with cadence.
• Support EPM-led meetings with scheduling, agenda, minutes, and follow-up.
• Maintain and track action items to closure with clear ownership and due dates.
• Provide administrative, reporting, and coordination support under EPM direction.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to keep project documentation audit-ready.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Improve project visibility with accurate data across tracking tools.
• Enable decision-making by preparing reliable reports and status summaries.
