Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, is seeking an Assistant Engineering Project Manager in Houston, TX. The role supports project controls and reporting under the Guidance of the Supervising Project Manager at the Houston office.

Responsibilities include cost scheduling, procurement coordination, subcontractor management, and ensuring data accuracy across reports and dashboards. Strong communication and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering/construction/related field.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project; 1+ year preferred.
• Prior project controls experience; power industry preferred.
• Strong attention to detail in order entries and reporting.
• Proven ability to think critically and solve problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain engineering cost schedules, coordinate procurement, and manage subcontractors for high voltage projects.
• Prepare draft weekly and monthly reports, dashboards and summaries with accurate data.
• Coordinate status updates from engineering leads and stakeholders.
• Escalate missing inputs and schedule risks to the EPM.
• Support EPM meetings with scheduling, minutes and follow-up.
• Track action items to closure with clear owners and due dates.
• Provide administrative support under EPM direction for scope, schedule and cost decisions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to keep project docs current and audit-ready.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
