Job summary

Dashiell is seeking an Assistant Engineering Project Manager for our Austin, TX office. You will support project management and control activities under the Project Manager, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within scope, primarily for high voltage substation and transmission line work.

Responsibilities include preparing cost schedules, coordinating procurement, maintaining data across reporting tools, and producing periodic performance reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related field; degree may be substituted with applicable experience.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project; one year preferred.
• Prior project controls experience; power industry experience preferred.
• Attention to detail for orders, proposals, and reports.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving; critical thinking required.
• Proven communication skills, both oral and written; ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering cost schedules and coordinate procurement; manage subcontractors for high voltage projects.
• Maintain project data across Smartsheet, trackers, logs, and reporting tools.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports, dashboards, and summaries; ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate status updates from engineering leads; align with reporting cadence.
• Escalate missing inputs and schedule impacts to the EPM.
• Support EPM meetings with scheduling, agendas, minutes, and follow-up.
• Track action items to closure with clear ownership and due dates.
• Ensure audit-ready documentation and cross-functional alignment.
