Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks an Assistant Engineering Project Manager in Houston to support the Engineering Department. You will assist the Project Manager to keep projects on schedule, within scope, and efficiently run, with emphasis on cost control and reporting.

You will manage scheduling data, coordinate procurement and subcontractors for high voltage substations and transmission line projects, prepare reports and dashboards, and maintain audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related field.
• Applicable experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project; Power Industry experience is preferred.
• Experience with project controls is required; strong attention to detail and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the creation of engineering cost schedules.
• Coordinate procurement and manage subcontractors for high voltage projects.
• Ensure resource management and cost accounting initiatives.
• Maintain and update project data across Smartsheet and reporting tools.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports, dashboards, and summaries.
• Coordinate status updates with engineering leads and stakeholders.
• Support EPM meetings with scheduling, minutes, and follow-up.
• Maintain audit-ready project documentation.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
