Job summary

QISG is seeking an Engineering Manager - Transmission Line to lead engineering, design and drafting on high‑voltage transmission projects. You will supervise a team, ensure safety and quality, and drive studies to optimize system investment while mitigating risk.

A strong background in electrical, structural, mechanical, or civil engineering is required with extensive HV project experience. The role focuses on delivering safe, reliable infrastructure through planning, analysis, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience in engineering.
• Knowledge of codes and industry standards.
• Ability to make sound business and financial judgments.
• Understanding of core engineering principles and problem solving.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision and oversee quality of team deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Plan/coordinate pole loading.
• Define plan of control.
• Direct and supervise junior engineers.
• Provide detailed engineering, design and planning assessments.
• Evaluate system operations and develop project scope for overhead/underground systems.
• Plan and coordinate engineering studies for complex solutions addressing risk and capacity.
