Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking an Engineering Manager - Transmission Line to lead engineering, design and drafting for high-voltage transmission projects. You will supervise and perform studies, mitigate system risk, and optimize investments with a strong civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a listed engineering field is required.
• Minimum 10 years of industry experience is expected.
• Knowledge of codes and standards relevant to electrical transmission.
• Ability to make sound business and financial judgments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision and oversee quality of team deliverables.
• Ensure compliance by staying current with codes and standards.
• Plan and coordinate pole loading.
• Define plan of control for projects.
• Direct and supervise junior engineers.
• Provide detailed engineering, design and planning assessments and recommendations.
• Evaluate system operations and develop project scopes for overhead/underground systems.
• Coordinate engineering studies for complex solutions addressing risk, reliability, and capacity.
