Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Engineering Manager for the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL.

Lead multidisciplinary engineers across mechanical, electrical, civil, and architectural disciplines, guiding design, construction support, and procurement on NASA-related projects. You will mentor staff, manage schedules and budgets, ensure QA compliance, and coordinate with program leadership to meet client objectives in a dynamic, client-focused

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or Architecture from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration or Registered Architect.
• 8–10 years of relevant engineering experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Prior experience in project execution within aerospace, federal, or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, project execution procedures, and quality management practices.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and deliver complex projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of engineering design processes, procurement, and construction support.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project controls tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.).
• Oversee planning, design, and execution of engineering tasks for buildings and support structures under the contract.
• Guide NASA MSFC-related projects, driving technical excellence and timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, procedures, and QA requirements.
• Collaborate with the Program Manager to align deliverables with client expectations.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and staff development.
• Monitor performance, schedule, and cost metrics for efficient execution.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
• Represent the engineering team in NASA and partner meetings.
• Coordinate between engineering, construction supervision, GIS, and inspection teams.
