Job summary

Qualus seeks a Systems Protection Relay Settings Engineering Manager to lead and develop an engineering team, influence technical strategy, and build a high-impact culture. This role partners with the Engineering Director to oversee engineers and ensure project success.

The position requires deep experience in energy systems protection, relay settings, and strong leadership; PE license is preferred and collaboration with clients is essential.

Qualifications

• BSEE from ABET-accredited school (MS in lieu acceptable)
• MS in Engineering Management or MBA is a plus
• Minimum 5 years in management within the energy sector
• Experience in systems protection and relay settings
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering supervision and leadership to meet project demands
• Coordinate with Engineering Director and oversee engineers based out of the office
• Develop trusted relationships with senior client and internal stakeholders
• Ensure proper engineering processes and QA/QC across projects
• Lead recruitment, training, and staff development
• Present technical solutions to customers and manage scope/schedule
