Job summary

Blattner Company seeks a Manager Engineering – Instrumentation and Controls Engineering to lead the gas generation program from proposal through construction completion. This role governs engineering design standards, integration with electrical design, and the balance of plant instrumentation and controls.

The position requires a four-year ABET-accredited engineering degree, 5+ years in gas power, leadership experience, and a PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year ABET-accredited engineering degree (electrical or mechanical).
• 5+ years progressive engineering experience in gas power generation, with 2+ years of leadership.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; valid driver's license; up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Act as the company program engineering representative from proposal through execution across gas generation projects.
• Coordinate with Blattner Business Units, suppliers, and equipment providers to establish client relationships.
• Define and apply design standards, safety practices, and system integration for power block and BOP instrumentation and controls.
• Own design basis for power block I&C and balance of plant instrumentation and controls; ensure proper interlocks and protection.
• Support commissioning, testing, and start-up activities with emphasis on reliability and operability.
