Job summary

Blattner is seeking a Senior Manager - Electrical Engineering to lead the electrical engineering program for the gas generation segment, focusing on reciprocating engine and aeroderivative gas turbine facilities and balance of plant equipment.

The role involves representing the program from proposal through execution, defining engineering plans, and ensuring reliability, operability, and constructability. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from ABET-accredited college.
• 5+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience in gas power generation, with leadership experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license strongly preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR).
• Up to 25% travel required, subject to fluctuations as needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead engineering staff and projects from conception through construction completion.
• Coordinate with utilities, reciprocating engine and aeroderivative gas turbine suppliers, and balance of plant providers to build lasting relationships.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, NFPA, and IEEE standards and utility interconnection requirements.
• Develop and implement engineering design basis, policies, and guardrails within the program for engine and turbine facilities.
• Support plant startup, synchronization, testing, and commissioning activities and resolve commissioning issues.
