Blattner Energy, Inc. in Avon, Minnesota seeks a Senior Manager - Electrical Engineering to lead the electrical engineering program for its gas generation segment, emphasizing reciprocating engines and aeroderivative gas turbines and associated balance of plant equipment.

The role requires guiding engineering from proposal to execution, ensuring client reliability, operability, and constructability while coordinating with utility and equipment suppliers and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Four-year Engineering degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
• Minimum 5+ years progressive electrical engineering experience in gas power generation with leadership experience.
• Familiarity with NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE standards and interconnection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as the program engineering representative from proposal through construction completion for gas generation projects.
• Coordinate with utility, engine/gas turbine suppliers, and balance-of-plant vendors to align design criteria and interfaces.
• Develop and enforce safety standards and design basis documents for the electrical engineering program.
• Support startup, commissioning, and performance testing activities and address commissioning issues as escalation point.
