Joseph Michaels International is seeking an Engineering Manager in Lynchburg, VA to lead the engineering team and execute departmental strategies. You will direct resources, drive on-time processing of ETO orders, and ensure high-quality, cost-effective products in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires collaboration with the Director of Engineering, oversight of QA and shop floor support, and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years manufacturing experience in design/development of heat exchangers or HVAC components (preferred).
• 3 years of managerial experience; Virginia PE desirable.

Responsabilités

• Direct engineering resources and coordinate activities for on-time delivery and KPI targets.
• Maintain project and sales order tracking systems.
• Oversee product maintenance, enhancements and testing per market demands.
• Dispose of RMAs promptly and effectively.
• Coordinate with QA and Shop Floor for timely support.
• Develop and implement BOM strategies to support strategic objectives.
• Manage welding/brazing activities including procedures, approvals and certifications.
• Review and approve engineering documents; maintain third-party listings (AHRI, etc.).
• Pursue new technology and continuous process improvements.
