Job summary

Top Echelon LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager in Lynchburg, VA to lead engineering operations, align with the Director of Engineering, and ensure on-time processing of ETO sales orders while maintaining high quality.

You will oversee design, maintenance, and enhancement of products, ensure ISO/quality program adherence, and mentor staff to achieve strategic objectives. Relocation support may be offered, with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10 years manufacturing experience involving design and development of heat exchangers and/or related HVAC systems.
• 3 years managerial experience; Virginia PE registration desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage departmental workflow to achieve on-time delivery and KPI targets.
• Maintain up-to-date project and sales order tracking systems.
• Disposition RMAs and ensure quality across engineering activities.
• Develop and implement BOM strategy for all products.
• Manage welding/brazing activities including procedures, approvals and certifications.
• Review and approve engineering documents and manage third-party listings (AHRI, etc.).
• Seek new technology and opportunities for continuing education and process improvements.
• Mentor staff and collaborate with the Director of Engineering.
