Pearson is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive the Data Foundations modernization, overseeing the delivery of AI-enabled and agentic capabilities while protecting continuity for current platform consumers. Qualifications

• 4+ years managing engineers who ship to production.
• Working engineering background credible with AI-fluent engineers.
• Experience delivering a model-backed or agentic capability to real users and monitoring post-release.
• Experience managing across legacy and target platform while maintaining shipping cadence.
• Regulated or privacy-sensitive environments experience; K-12/FERPA exposure a plus.
• Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsabilités

• Own engineering delivery for Data Foundations, including roadmap execution and migration sequencing.
• Set expectations for data contracts, quality gates, and observability across data domains.
• Partner with Product, Data Engineering, Security, and DevOps to align priorities and protect continuity during modernization.
• Coach capability growth, run performance and development conversations, and build succession within the team.
• Ensure guardrails, human-in-the-loop fallback, and disclosure are designed into interactions and release gates.
• Lead governance of shared tooling and evaluation suites adopted by multiple teams.
