Job summary

Pearson is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Data Foundations initiative, modernizing our analytics platform while safeguarding continuity for current users. You will guide AI-fluent engineering practices, ensure governance through quality gates, and coordinate across product, security, and DevOps teams to align priorities and deliver increments.

Qualifications

4+ years managing engineers who ship to production.
Working engineering background to review technical decisions.
Experience delivering model-backed or agentic capabilities.
Experience managing both legacy and target platforms while shipping.

Responsibilities

Lead the engineering delivery for Data Foundations, including roadmap execution and migration sequencing.
Set expectations for data contracts, quality gates, lineage, observability, and access controls.
Coordinate with Product, Security, Compliance, DevOps, and vendor teams to protect continuity during modernization.
Coach capability, run performance and development conversations, and build succession within the team.
