Pearson is modernizing its data platform, with a focus on AI-enabled capabilities and secure, observable delivery. The role leads engineering delivery for Data Foundations, coordinating migration, data contracts, and governance across teams to ensure continuity and quality of release into production.

The candidate should have a strong engineering background, experience across legacy and modern stacks, and a track record of managing distributed teams in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years managing engineers who ship to production.
• Experience delivering a model-backed or agentic capability to real users.
• Experience holding a quality gate under delivery pressure.
• Experience across legacy and target platform with ongoing shipping.
• Comfortable managing distributed teams across time zones.
• Experience in regulated or privacy-sensitive environments; K-12 FERPA exposure is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Own engineering delivery for Data Foundations, including roadmap execution and migration sequencing.
• Set expectations for data contracts, quality gates, lineage, observability, access controls, and operational readiness.
• Partner with Product, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Solution Architecture, Security, Compliance, DevOps, and vendor teams to align priorities and protect continuity during modernization.
