6 Degrees Search is seeking a Vice President of Engineering for a $200M manufacturing company in Morgantown, PA. The VP will lead all engineering functions and align technology with business strategy to ensure on-time, on-budget product delivery.

Responsibilities span design, R&D, production engineering, and quality, with a focus on Lean, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required; MBA preferred.
• Fifteen years of engineering experience with at least five in leadership.
• SolidWorks proficiency and broad manufacturing knowledge.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term engineering strategy and product development roadmap.
• Identify and implement new technologies and processes (Industry 4.0).
• Oversee R&D initiatives for new products and process innovations.
• Bridge design and production with manufacturing teams.
• Lead continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.
• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
• Manage schedule and budget to meet timelines.
• Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance.
