Job summary

Exelon seeks a design engineer to develop designs, layouts, construction drawings, and material lists for complex utility infrastructure projects. You will work on installation, removal and modification tasks across our electric generation, transmission and distribution facilities.

The role requires a technical degree and CAD proficiency, with 0–7 years of related experience, and may demand extended hours during storms or emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree or equivalent required with 0–3 years experience; 2–5 years for associate''s degree route; 5–7 years for non-degreed paths.
• Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
• Proficient CAD and Computer Drawing skills.
• Valid driver''s license.

Responsibilities

• Develops designs, layouts, construction drawings, and a bill of material for complex systems related to utility infrastructure.
• Interprets and applies engineering standards and memos.
• Provides technical consultation and plan developments for customer and company systems.
• Evaluates design processes and participates in teams to design high voltage circuits.
