Job summary

Exelon is seeking a skilled engineer to develop designs, layouts, construction drawings and material lists for large projects across generation, transmission, distribution, gas, and telecom facilities. You will perform field engineering and coordinate with internal and external customers, ensuring designs meet standards and customer timelines.

The role may require extended hours and 24x7 coverage during storms or energy delivery emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 3+ years of technical experience, or equivalent.
• TECH test completion required (Bachelor's degree exempts).
• Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
• Proficient Computer Aided Design drawing skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develops designs, layouts, construction drawings, and a bill of material for large projects and complex systems. (80%)
• Interprets and applies engineering standards and memos. (10%)
• Assists with technical consultation and plan development for customer and company systems. (5%)
• Evaluates effectiveness of design processes; participates on design teams. (5%)
