Job summary

Exelon Corporation in Illinois seeks a design engineer to develop designs, layouts, construction drawings, and BOMs for complex utility infrastructure projects. You will perform field engineering and support internal and external customers on installation/removal/modification tasks.

You will interpret engineering standards, coordinate with teams, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across transmission, distribution, gas, and telecom facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develops designs, layouts, construction drawings, and a bill of material for relatively complex systems and on a number of smaller projects or portions of a larger project for utility infrastructure.
• Interprets and applies engineering standards and memos.
• Assists with technical consultation, plan developments and recommendations for customer and company systems and processes.
• Evaluates effectiveness of current design processes and participates on design teams.
