Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is seeking an Engineer III - Generator Interconnection to evaluate new and changing generation across the MISO footprint. You will support power system studies and serve as a technical resource for interconnection customers, Transmission Owners, and neighboring RTOs.

You will help coordinate studies from kickoff through completion, communicating results and requirements to multiple stakeholders while helping ensure reliable interconnections and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of job-related experience.
• Experience with power system planning or operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT, and VSAT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with generator interconnection studies evaluating reliability impacts.
• Review Transmission Owner projects and provide technical recommendations.
• Communicate study results and requirements to interconnection customers, Transmission Owners, neighboring RTOs, and internal teams.
• Coordinate studies from kickoff through completion and keep stakeholders aligned.
