Job summary

MISO is seeking an Engineer III - Generator Interconnection to evaluate new and changing generation across the MISO footprint. You will assist with power system studies that help determine how generation can reliably interconnect to the transmission system while serving as a technical resource for interconnection customers, Transmission Owners, and neighboring RTOs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of job-related experience.
• Experience in power system planning or operations preferred.
• Experience with interconnection studies and specific software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with system impact studies evaluating reliability impacts of generator interconnections.
• Review projects proposed by Transmission Owners and provide technical recommendations.
• Coordinate studies and communicate results to interconnection customers and internal teams.
