Job summary

Join MISO as an Engineer II - Generator Interconnection to evaluate new and changing generation across the footprint. You will help perform power system studies that determine how generation can reliably interconnect to the transmission system while serving interconnection customers, Transmission Owners, and neighboring grid operators.

This role blends technical power system analysis with problem solving and customer interaction, coordinating studies from kickoff through completion and keeping

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering technology, electrical and computer engineering or electronics and computer engineering technology

Responsibilities

• Assist with system impact studies for generator interconnection requests in MISO's Generator Interconnection Queue, evaluating the reliability impacts of connecting new resources to the transmission system.
• Review projects proposed by MISO's Transmission Owners, providing technical recommendations based on power system analysis and established reliability requirements.
• Assist with assigned projects, communicating study results, technical requirements, and project details to interconnection customers, Transmission Owners, neighboring RTOs, and internal teams.
