Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) seeks an Engineer II – Generator Interconnection to evaluate new and changing generation within the MISO footprint. You’ll support power system studies that determine how generation can reliably interconnect to the transmission system while serving as a technical resource for interconnection customers, Transmission Owners, and neighboring RTOs.

This role blends technical power system analysis with customer interaction.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Specific power system planning or operations experience preferred.
• Experience with power system analysis tools (PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT, VSAT).
• Previous energy industry experience is a plus.

Mansioni

• Assist with system impact studies for generator interconnection requests, evaluating reliability impacts.
• Review projects proposed by Transmission Owners and provide technical recommendations.
• Coordinate studies from kickoff through completion and communicate results to customers and internal teams.
