Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator Inc. seeks an Engineer II – Generator Interconnection to evaluate new and changing generation across the MISO footprint. You will assist with power system studies, determine reliable interconnection, and act as a technical resource for interconnection customers and Transmission Owners.

You will coordinate studies from kickoff through completion, collaborating with neighboring RTOs and internal teams and ensuring study results meet reliability requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with system impact studies for generator interconnection requests in MISO’s Generator Interconnection Queue, evaluating the reliability impacts of connecting new resources to the transmission system.
