Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) seeks an Engineer III - Generator Interconnection to evaluate new generation across the MISO footprint and perform power system studies. Location options include Carmel, IN; Eagan, MN; or Little Rock, AR.

The role blends technical power system analysis with customer interaction, coordinating studies from kickoff through completion and delivering findings to interconnection customers, Transmission Owners, neighboring RTOs, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electronics-related field.
• At least 3 years of job-related experience.
• Desirable: power system planning or operations experience.
• Desirable: experience with PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT, or VSAT.
• Desirable: previous energy industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with system impact studies for generator interconnection requests.
• Review projects and provide technical recommendations based on reliability requirements.
• Assist with assigned projects and communicate study results to stakeholders.
• Coordinate studies from kickoff through completion and align stakeholders.
