Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is seeking a Senior Engineer – Generator Interconnection to evaluate generation interconnection studies, manage power system analyses, and serve as a technical resource for interconnection customers and owners.

You’ll coordinate studies from kickoff to completion, potentially acting as project manager, and collaborate with internal teams and neighboring RTOs to ensure reliable grid expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE or related field.
• At least 4 years of related experience.
• Experience with PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT or VSAT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform system impact studies for generator interconnection requests.
• Review projects and provide technical recommendations based on reliability requirements.
• Serve as SME, communicating study results and requirements to customers, owners, and internal teams.
