Job summary

Valiant Residential in Austin, TX is seeking a Leasing Consultant to manage leasing, retention, and occupancy while delivering exceptional customer service. You will greet prospects, prepare move-in documents, process applications, and coordinate renewals with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities include recording visits, processing deposits, updating availability, and maintaining accurate files in Yardi.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with the public and/or sales.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Fair Housing knowledge and certification preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria (ask questions, utilize completed guest cards, etc.).
• Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
• Immediately record all telephone and in-person visits on appropriate reports. File guest cards and maintain them according to procedures.
• Inspect models and available unit(s); communicate service needs to the Community Manager.
• Have the prospect complete the application and secure a deposit in accordance with procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
• Update the availability report and process applications for approval (credit check, rental history).
• Assist in monitoring renewals. Distribute and follow up on renewal notices.
• Monitor advertising effectiveness. Gather information about market competition in the area and file.
• Professionally represent the company at all times.
• Accept rental payments and remit to the Assistant Community Manager.
• Type lease, input information on the Yardi System, and obtain signatures after review.
• Assist the management team with other tasks as required.
• Consistently implement community policies.
