Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is looking for an entry-level mechanical engineer to help in our Energy Solutions division in the following regions:

• Kentucky
• Mississippi
• North Carolina
• Pennsylvania
• Florida
• Tennessee

The successful candidate is typically self-motivated and has the technical background to lead all phases of our work, with transition potential to energy engineer within our team. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required and 0-3 years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline required.
• 0-3 years of experience with an Energy Services company or a consulting/ commissioning firm preferred.
• Ability to contribute across project phases, including energy calculations and client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present project opportunities to potential clients.
• Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development.
• Project development including site visits, audits, and energy calculations.
• Engineering design review of drawings and specifications.
• Support the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes.
• Help facilitate the contract administration process.
• Coordinate with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period.
• Commission installed systems to validate performance.
• Support the client through the warranty phase as needed.
• Collaborate with M&V professionals to develop M&V reports.
