Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an entry-level mechanical engineer to join our Energy Solutions division, supporting Mississippi and other regions in performance contracting and HVAC design. This role offers growth in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will participate in site visits, energy calculations, project development from conception to completion, and cross-functional collaboration with CMTA’s experienced team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 0-3 years of experience with an Energy Services company OR a consulting engineering/commissioning firm is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and present project opportunities to potential clients
• Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development
• Project development including site visits, audits, and energy calculations
• Engineering design review of drawings and specifications
• Support the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes
• Help facilitate the contract administration process
• Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period
• Commission installed systems to validate performance
• Support the client through the warranty phase as needed
• Work with our Measurement & Verification (M&V) professional to develop M&V reports
