Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking an entry-level mechanical engineer to support the Energy Solutions division across several regions including North Carolina. The role focuses on HVAC design, energy audits, and performance contracting, with opportunities to lead project phases and work closely with clients.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of performing site visits, energy calculations, and system commissioning, helping CMTA deliver high-performance

Qualifications

• 0-3 years experience in energy services or commissioning is preferred.
• Strong HVAC design and energy calculation capabilities.
• Ability to lead project phases and coordinate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present project opportunities to potential clients
• Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development
• Project development including site visits, audits, and energy calculations
• Engineering design review of drawings and specifications
• Support the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes
• Help facilitate the contract administration process
• Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period
• Commission installed systems to validate performance
• Support the client through the warranty phase as needed
• Collaborate with M&V professionals to develop M&V reports
