Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy Solutions division across multiple regions (KY, MS, NC, PA, FL, TN). The successful candidate will participate in all phases of performance contracts, with a strong HVAC design and commissioning background helping clients improve energy performance.

The role emphasizes self-motivation, client engagement, and opportunity development within a fast-growing team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 0-3 years of experience with an Energy Services company or a consulting engineering/commissioning firm is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present project opportunities to potential clients.
• Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development.
• Project development including site visits, audits, and energy calculations.
• Engineering design review of drawings and specifications.
• Support the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes.
• Facilitate the contract administration process.
• Coordinate with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period.
• Commission installed systems to validate performance.
• Support the client through the warranty phase as needed.
• Collaborate with M&V to develop M&V reports.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
