Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to support the Energy Solutions offices in multiple regions, including Boston, MA, Richmond VA, Fairfax VA, Baltimore MD, and California.

The role emphasizes project development, energy calculations, and commissioning, with opportunities to transition into energy engineering within the Energy Solutions group. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
• 0-3 years experience with Energy Services/consulting engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and present project opportunities to potential clients
• Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development
• Project development including site visits, audits, and energy calculations
• Engineering design review of drawings and specifications
• Support the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes
• Help facilitate the contract administration process
• Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period
• Commission installed systems to validate performance
• Support the client through the warranty phase as needed
• Work with our M&V professional to develop M&V reports
