Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer for our Energy Solutions offices across multiple U.S. regions.

The role involves supporting performance contracts from conception to completion, with opportunities to lead in HVAC design, site visits, energy calculations, and commissioning. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated thinker who can develop opportunities, present to clients, and contribute to CMTA’s culture and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
• 0-3 years of experience with an Energy Services company OR a consulting engineering/commissioning firm is preferred.
• Strong HVAC design and commissioning background is beneficial for transition to energy engineer within Energy Solutions.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and present project opportunities to potential clients.
• Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development.
• Project development including site visits, audits, and energy calculations.
• Engineering design review of drawings and specifications.
• Support the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes.
• Help facilitate the contract administration process.
• Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period.
• Commission installed systems to validate performance.
• Support the client through the warranty phase as needed.
• Collaborate with M&V team to develop M&V reports.
