Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Energy Marshal to lead safety-focused electrical operations for large-scale, mission-critical MEP environments. The role centers on energy isolation program management, ensuring safe energization and coordination across construction, commissioning, and operations teams.

You will contribute to risk assessments, LOTO governance, and daily commissioning activities while upholding corporate safety standards and site procedures.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 10+ years of experience in industrial or commercial field engineering.
• Deep knowledge of MV (>1000V) and LV (<1000V) power distribution SOPs.
• Ability to isolate energy sources and perform absence of voltage verifications.
• NFPA 70E knowledge and certification.
• Hands-on startups, LOTO, and voltage verification experience.
• Leadership experience in electrical field, preferably overseeing Commissioning.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure with condensed schedules.
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical one-lines, and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review procedures, permits, and safety documentation to ensure safe work conditions.
• Coordinate energizations/de-energizations with energy marshals and stakeholders.
• Lead pre-energization and energization kick-off meetings for first-of-kind energizations.
• Understand Commissioning plans and specs related to energization of equipment.
• Oversee site energy isolation programs for MEP systems.
• Lead safety inspections, audits, and LOTO processes with stakeholders.
• Ensure PPE and tools are suitable for energization activities.
• Attend daily Commissioning meetings and collaborate with CX team and vendors.
