Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an Energy Marshal to lead safety and energy isolation efforts at a large-scale mission-critical datacenter environment.

You will ensure safe work conditions, review permits, and coordinate energizations with teammates and stakeholders across construction, commissioning, and operations. You will apply NFPA 70E knowledge, LOTO procedures, and your experience with MV/LV power distribution to prevent incidents, support commissioning activities, and drive compliant energy

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 10+ years of field engineering experience in mission critical facilities and electrical infrastructures.
• In-depth knowledge of MV (>1000V) and LV (<1000V) power distribution SOPs.
• Understanding and ability to isolate energy sources with potential back feeds and perform absence of voltage verifications.
• NFPA 70E knowledge and certification.
• Hands-on experience with startups, LOTO, and absence of voltage verification.
• Leadership experience in the electrical field preferably overseeing Commissioning.
• Ability to make decisions in high pressure environments with condensed schedules.
• Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation (interpreting blueprints, one-lines, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Review safety and energy isolation procedures and ensure safe conditions for energy activities.
• Coordinate energizations/de-energizations with energy marshals and stakeholders.
• Lead pre-energization and energization kickoff meetings before FoK energization.
• Understand Commissioning plan and specs related to energization of equipment on site.
• Develop risk assessments for energized environments and ensure safe work practices.
• Attend daily Commissioning meetings and safety briefings; support on-site operations.
