Job summary

Trane Technologies is recruiting recent graduates for a full-time Energy Engineer position as part of its Graduate Training Program (GTP). The 15-week rotation provides hands-on engineering experience, leadership training, and exposure to multiple facilities across North America.

Upon completion, you join a local sales office and apply insights to client facilities. You will analyze energy use, review utility rate structures, and deliver data-driven recommendations to optimize energy efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferred: Energy, Mechanical or Electrical.
• U.S. citizen or has legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Posting covers multiple opportunities; some may be remote, hybrid, or onsite.
• Ability to travel for the 15-week training program.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months, provide proof of insurance, and have no major traffic violations (e.g., DUI, hit & run) in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• After completing the Graduate Training Program, assume the responsibilities of an Energy Engineer at a predetermined office location.
• Convert data into actionable insight to deliver results for clients, helping optimize facilities and energy use.
• Analyze and assess economic impacts of utility rate structures and supply-side options across various client environments.
• Perform building walk-throughs to identify energy conservation measures in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
• Provide routine consultations and support to address client energy use, operations, and asset management.
