Job summary

Trane Technologies invites recent graduates to join the Energy Engineer Graduate Training Program. This full-time role begins with a 15-week rotational program designed to build technical, business, and leadership skills across North America.

You will learn from industry experts, work on real-world energy projects, and gain hands-on experience in HVAC fundamentals and energy literacy before transitioning to a full-time Energy Engineer in a local office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Preferred: Energy, Mechanical or Electrical.
• Must be graduated prior to start date.
• Be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Some positions may be remote while others may require a hybrid or onsite assignment at one of our facilities across North America.
• Ability to travel to various in-person destinations throughout the 15-week training program.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, ability to provide proof of insurance, and have no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 3 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Convert data into actionable insight to deliver results for clients. Your work helps our customers optimize facilities and operate more efficiently.
• Analyze and assess the economic impacts of utility company rate structures and supply-side options.
• Qualify client and opportunity, then outline audit scope analysis.
• Perform building walk-through and identify energy conservation measures in facilities.
• Assist with energy simulation models and consultative, solution selling.
• Provide routine consultations on energy use, building operations, and asset management.
