Job summary

Franklin Energy seeks an on-site energy advisor to provide services directly to homeowners, landlords, building owners and utility customers in Oakland, CA. You will offer expert energy advice, coordinate program activities and promote energy efficiency measures.

The role combines field visits with office time, including trade partner facilitation, to identify opportunities for energy savings and to guide customers through prescriptive and custom incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 2-3 years in energy efficiency and/or energy modeling.
• 3-5 years in electric or natural gas utilities, facilities management, HVAC, or lighting.
• Experience in customer outreach and sales activities.

Responsibilities

• Direct installation of energy saving products as directed by program management.
• Promote the energy efficiency program to customers, trade allies and stakeholders.
• Make outbound calls to existing customers to meet energy saving targets.
• Initiate new business with new customers through B2B efforts.
• Develop and deliver presentations to create awareness about the program.
• Assist with data entry and reporting on energy savings.
